A little more about me
I’m Yael Rakovitsky, a passionate and user-obsessed Senior UI/UX Designer based in Winnipeg, MB.
With a strong background in e-commerce and product design, I specialize in creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences that solve real problems for real users. Over the last few years, I’ve led major product launches at companies like Koodo, where I built scalable design systems, collaborated on marketing and digital strategy, and conducted user testing to improve the online experience continuously.
Previously, I worked with Gryd Digital, designing customer- and business-facing platforms across mobile, web, and automotive experiences like Apple CarPlay. At Curbie Cars, I transformed complex user problems into clean, actionable designs that improved usability and speed to market.
What drives me? A desire to make tech more human. Whether I’m wireframing, leading UX workshops, or fine-tuning UI details, I care deeply about clarity, consistency, and creativity.
When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me somewhere in Canada hiking through forests or climbing a mountain, baking something new and challenging, or diving into creative side projects like cross stitch.
